After that he couldn't remember much, his mind coming up blank past the feeling of the cold from bench seeping through his coat and leaving his body with a chill that spread all throughout him.
He didn’t want the nurses to know he was awake, they would start taking things out of him and start reminding him was a real person that needed to do things for himself. He could feel the nurse's presence before he saw her.
She didn’t say anything to him moving around the room with practiced ease that only came from being completely comfortable in your abilities, he was overtaken with a sudden rush of jealousy at her ease.
