When Tharkûn left the Company, telling them to wait for him in the Shire, Thorin had expected him to come a little quicker. Definitely hadn't expected him to take a year. Nor anything that happened in that one year.
Uneventful fic where Thorin waits, meets Bilbo, eats food and that's... Nice. Really.
