Summary
Geralt tries not to interfere with human affairs, but when he sees an innocent young man about to be sold into sexual slavery for a year as punishment for a crime he didn't commit, he decides to buy him instead. Geralt intends to let the man go as soon as they are out of the town, but instead the two of them are magically bound together. If they get too far apart for too long, the man will die.
So it seems Geralt is to have a travelling companion, at least until the year is up or they can find a mage willing to undo the spell. If the situation weren't bad enough, the man simply won't stop talking and singing.
Geralt has no intention of taking advantage of a man in no position to refuse. He is not going to have sex with Jaskier while they're still bound together. He just wishes Jaskier would stop being so damn distracting.

Due to his profession as a Witcher, Geralt has had to hide his identity as an omega for most of his life. His life is a tangle of lies that he keeps tightly wrapped up, lest somebody gets too close and discovers his secret. One night he meets a pretty omega bard in a tavern, and he almost gets too close.
