Kris looked back, and Asgore handed them a huge bouquet of flowers, almost as their own size. The floral scent was so strong that it almost made them cough, an itch rising in their throat. Kris grimaced.
"No, these aren't for your mother," Asgore said. And Kris bit their lower lip, stopping themselves from letting out a relieved 'thank heavens'. However, what he said next was even worse: "I heard that you'd been hanging out with a young man." their father said, and a nervous blush rose to their cheeks, spreading to their ears.
Oh, heavens, he was actually referring to Ralsei. And they thought their situation couldn't get any worse.
