Summary
In one world, Taylor Hebert would gain her powers in a locker, become a villain and warlord, then a superhero, then finally a feared quasi-deity. She helped spark the end of the world, and saved humanity across the multiverse. She was Skitter; Weaver; Khepri; Queen of the Swarm.
That world will not come to pass.
In this world, Taylor is a doctor, helping others to live their lives without fear, wether it comes in the form of medicine and healing or the violence of swords and spears. Forces move in the dark, all vying for their goals: some for power, others out of fear, and still others fight for peace.

Wisdom Cubes. The ultimate energy source, and the catalyst for the creation of the Kansen; ships given human form. They were the light, the defenders of peace and Azur Lane.
But they were not the first.
From the skies over the Middle-East, Asia, and the hills of Europe to the cities of North and South America, they were there, keeping to the shadows, always watching, always protecting. Fighting the enemies of humanity since the end of World War Two, they help ensure that no matter what, humanity is safe from threats both within and without. Assassination, blackmail, murder, espionage; no deed is too immoral, no act too evil if it meant keeping humanity safe, all to defend the light from the darkness. They are called by many names around the world, in rumours and legends: the Ghosts of Razgriz, the Demons of the Sky, and many other names besides. But to those few who know of them, there is only one name they go by:

Beneath the classified depths of Area 51, a decades-long black project known as Project ARKSEK has achieved what was once thought impossible: the creation of a stable, functional gateway to another world.
In the wake of this discovery, the United States mobilizes its most advanced and sophisticated military units and scientific minds to establish the first Human presence beyond the Gate.
However, this new world known as "Terra" by its inhabitants is no empty frontier. It is a world shaped by its own complex histories, societies, nations, geopolitics, and scarred by Catastrophes.
What begins as an exploration mission slowly becomes something far more what the US could have ever bargained for in another world.
As American forces attempt to understand and navigate this alien yet familiar landscape, they will be forced to confront questions of morality, control, diplomacy and weighing the cost of intervention.
