The work was perfect, and so was Ned's chemistry grade. After that it was Peter this, Peter that, Peter parted the Red Sea, it’s true, MJ, I was there; I saw it. MJ, hey, are you listening?

“Alright, I get it. That’s enough. Be something else, Enid – I need you to help me figure out how to get home from here.”
At his side, Enid is very, very quiet. Where William expected to hear giggling, or rustling leaves, or ruffled feathers, he just hears soft breathing.
“Enid?” He asks, turning to her worriedly. She wasn’t hurt, was she? She didn’t seem like she was, but he also didn’t really check.
In a tiny pile of rotting leaves Enid stares up at him, legs splayed awkwardly, and sharp mouth held open. She’s still opossum shaped, staring up at him with wide black eyes. Sparks of stress travel up the bond to settle in William’s chest beside his own.
“Um.” She says, her tail curling inward from the stress.

Summary
There’s a word for things that are star-shaped; cells throughout our bodies, sand dollars, the core of an apple sliced across its middle, and the stars themselves. So when you look at the night sky, and see the points of light we are so lucky to observe, know that someone decided that- despite it being so rarely seen- the shape of our stars was worth describing.
When William looks at Vyncent, he can feel what people felt when they decided to name the constellations after the things they knew and loved, or perhaps, feared. Every star-shaped cell inside William’s body was built to endure this ache, and he relishes in the glow-in-the-dark stars that watch their every move in Vyncent’s dorm, even as they fade with every passing hour. There’s something between them, and neither of them can deny it anymore. It’s something small, something blooming and radiating- something stellate.

It has been years; The Phantom Thieves are reduced to an urban legend and Akira only wishes to graduate from university without Joker’s mask but when a series of murders starts to terrorize the city with the culprit taunting the ever elusive thieves, Akira finds himself once again in the Velvet Room realizing two things: there’s a dead man haunting him and he wants out of whatever bullshit that’s happening.
At the same time, Yu Narukami comes back to the bustling metropolis under a friend’s request to catch a killer that’s pushing him to uncover the truth behind the incidents that occurred in Christmas Eve, 2016. He’s sure that everything would be easier if Akira stops speaking in riddles.

Anger is a strange thing, sometimes. Ren knew he had a good handle on his own--he had to. One wrong move and they’d lock him up again, any excuse for it, really. He needs to be calm, he needs to be controlled. He’s the Phantom Thieves' leader, after all, although recently it didn’t seem to mean much.
Or matter at all, really.
