And that’s only considering the history of Earth. The Universe at large is millions upon billions upon quintillions of years older than that. Enough time for stars to die, for solar systems to decompose, rot away into nothing but solar dust and crumbling asteroids.

In an oversized, faded sweater, with bruises on his forearms, and a still unhealed, split lip, he definitely didn't resemble the little terrorist Phil had carefully guarded all sharp objects from. More like a victim of a natural disaster. As if he had spent hours on the roof escaping a flood, only to be carried away by a tornado.
But burying the knives was still a good idea. The kid seemed to trip over while making a sandwich."

Wilbur had many regrets in his life, being lost in his madness and the urge for revenge drowned leaving a shell of who he once was. It was only in his dying moments that he regained himself but it was already too late for him leaving him drowning in wishes and regrets. However waking up in another different universe where wilbur was never born and family soulmates exist, so when wilbur said he wanted to fix the mistakes he never expected this turn of events.
OR
In one world wilbur dies and he would return as a ghost missing his memory and trying to fix what he did in life but in this one wilbur dies and wakes up in another world where soulmates exist and the wilbur of that world was never born so wilbur/ghostbur takes his place and tries to make up his mistakes to the other version of his friends.

“Who will I be marrying?” Aziraphale questioned quietly, “I assume that you will have me marry the princess of the Crimson Kingdom? Or perhaps the princess of the Oil Kingdom. They both have bad blood with our kingdom.”
Gabriel shook his head, “It is a descendant of the Black Kingdom.”
Aziraphale frowned, his head shaking lightly, “But the Black Kingdom has no princesses. None that I know of, at least.”
Gabriel grinned, his eyes shining with malice behind them, “I never said that you would be marrying a princess.”
Aziraphale was more than confused at the statement. What was he expected to marry if he wasn’t to marry a princess? Would be betrothed to a lamp? A bottle of wine?
But as he pondered this, he realized exactly what Gabriel was implying. A descendant, but not a princess.
He was to marry the prince.
