Loathing.
That’s what Joel felt towards Scott, unmoving, forever and ever, loathing. Joel hated Scott, with everything in him. He was just so cocky and good at the game that Joel couldn’t stand it. Scott was always in the top players every life series, always one of the last of green, or yellow, and Joel couldn’t stand it. Even looking at Scott made Joel’s skin crawl, made his face uncontrollably red, anger. Pure anger, pure rage, pure loathing.

He scrambles to his feet, kicking snow as he stumbles towards the tree line. Grian has control of the wings. And he's flapping. Scar tips forward, fighting with his hands, and tries to grab a tree or rock to brace himself with. He digs his palm against his forehead. Digs it deep, clawing at his hair. Then it's both hands, tugging hard, as he wracks his mind for anyone who… anyone who…
… who can make Grian… flare his soul wings out like that…
Grian has an affair. Scar, caught off guard by every sensation, trips and falls and almost dies in the woods. Scar returns to an empty base. Grian comes home late.
Sparks kick up, gaslighting ensues, and two soulmates who got slapped together in an emotionally troubling 700 x 700 world are both confused and upset and trying to figure themselves out. We love them for it <3
