Pulled out of his thoughts, Benji glanced over to find Ethan holding the Rubik’s cube Benji always had sitting on his desk. He turned a few of the sides back and forth experimentally.
Benji scoffed, “Of course I can solve it. Why else would it be on my desk?”
“You’d be surprised how many people I’ve met who just put these on their desks to look smart. You know David? Down the hall? He’s got one. Never solved it in his life.”
“Well, that’s just stupid.”
Ethan grinned. “I caught him once peeling the stickers off the sides and sticking them on in the right places.”
“Blasphemy, that’s what that is.”
“Blasphemy.” Ethan said, incredulous.
“That’s what I said.” Benji leaned back in his chair. “Wanna see what a real solve looks like?”
Ethan raised an eyebrow incredulously. “Only if you let me mess it up.”
