Summary
Pillai is the most serene place in the world. Julian never wants to leave. An invasion of monsters threatens that serenity, though, and when the city's ruling council becomes gridlocked while the guards die night after night, Julian makes plans.
They're terrible plans, really, and it's a wonder he gets anyone to agree to them. Without the backing of the council, Julian assembles a group of young warriors to deal with the monster horde. And of course, because things are never easy, the horde becomes the least of their worries.

Summary
Jack is bleeding, although that’s to be expected. One nasty scrape on his cheek bled all over the fucking place, and thankfully it doesn’t look deep. His left arm is bent at an odd angle in several places, but his other arm and his legs look alright other than a deep cut on one thigh. Gabriel goes to tear a piece of Jack’s already-destroyed coat off to use as a bandage when he realizes something isn’t right.
Jack isn’t breathing.

Summary
Slade hasn't quite left Gotham yet when the Society assigns him a contract on the Red Hood. For reasons he's not interested in asking about, they still want Black Mask in their ranks, and following the disastrous showing of their last hit squad, they've decided that it's a job best suited for actual professionals.
'Take the Red Hood off the board.' Simple enough. He's already worn himself out fighting the Bat, after all, and Slade's killed plenty of people just as dangerous as him. There's no reason one little fallen bird should give him any trouble.

Summary
The first time Slade sees Jason cry, they’re in the kitchen.
Slade walks in with the intention of getting a glass of water, and he finds Jason on the floor, curled up with his back pressed against one of the cabinets. His head is buried in his hands. Around him are the shattered remains of a plate.
It takes a moment for him to notice the shaking of his shoulders, the quiet sound of him sobbing into his hands.

Red Hood looks dubious.
He’s got his batburger in hand, chewing, and side-eying Batman. His nose and cheeks are red from the cold, and Bruce remembers smearing vaseline across his face before he went out on cold nights like this. Jason had always complained and batted his hands away, but eventually let him when his cheeks would get too chapped.
“I haven’t been to Christmas since…”
Since he died. Bruce remembers. “I know.” He says. “But I would like to have you there.”

Summary
Jason has spent the last six years working as a hooker for Roman Sionis, but when he gets picked up by Slade Wilson, he finally has the chance to make enough money to get out of Gotham for good. He just has to survive the weekend with Slade; without pissing off any mob bosses, or letting Roman figure out his plan to escape.
Easy enough.
Except that Slade is making things hard, in more ways than one. Charming and self-assured; Jason can't help falling for him. Not that it matters. Jason is leaving Gotham after this final job.
