Summary
One more life to go. One more death to take.
The last survivor in a death game mockingly named for it's three lives, Grian threw himself down a cliff of his own volition, grieving the loss of his best friend, fully prepared to never come back.
It's just too bad the Watchers had other plans.
AKA: AU where Third Life and Hermitcraft are alternate universes, slightly inspired by Martyn's 'Eyes and Ears' AU :)
AKA: very traumatized third-life Grian meets slightly less traumatized Hermitcraft Grian.

Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grian is a vet. After a chance encounter in the dead of night, during which he accidentally saves a villain from the brink of death, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a world beyond anything he could've ever imagined.

Summary
After killing his closest friend Grian can't take it anymore. He doesn't want to keep going in this empty server haunted by the ghosts of his friends. He decides that he is done with this game.
What he doesn't expect is to wake up somewhere filled with people who seem to know him even though he has no idea who they are.
aka the third life hermits wake up in Hermitcraft season 8 with no memories from before Third life

Summary
Watchers were supposed to be worshipped. It’s their source of powers as minor deities, after all.
Grian, who wanted nothing more than to forget his Watcher past, was quite happy not to be worshipped at all. So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right?
