Summary
To say Bilbo was not amused would be the understatement of the era. Finding out he was pregnant after being rejected by his lover and cast out of his would-be home had put Bilbo in an extremely foul humor and he knew just the dwarf to share his misery with. Bilbo was a hobbit with a mission and, really, Thorin should learn to hold his tongue if he wanted to escape relatively unharmed.

Azog the Defiler lays dead by Thorin's hand. Erebor has been reclaimed. Thorin is king, his kin avenged, his sister-sons live to tell their mother the tale.

Summary
Hollyhocking is a common hobbitish disease that crops up when a hobbit feels a sudden, deep, overwhelming affection for another. Its symptoms are in the flowers that erupt from the afflicted's lungs, and its cure is found in the fulfillment of the relationship, the removal of the flowers, or a separation from the object of one's affection.
As far as history goes, no Baggins has ever experienced a spontaneous, deep, overwhelming, unexpected attraction to anyone. As far as Bilbo Baggins is concerned, none ever will.

After Thorin unexpectedly bestows on Bilbo the cure to his nearly fatal bout with hollyhocking, Bilbo reflects on how he narrowly missed losing his beloved King Under the Mountain in the Battle of the Five Armies. Still healing from the final expulsion of the flowers from his lungs, Bilbo refuses to rest if it means saving Thorin and his nephews. Never in his life, and certainly not in those painful months of coughing up forget-me-nots, did he ever think that he would ever experience and survive hollyhocking to find that the one for whom he pined wanted to marry him.Bookmarked by Azheni410
