Summary
After the deaths of Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter is place in the foster system. After too many horrible placements, Peter decides he’d be better off fending for himself.
Fourteen years old, homeless, and living on the streets, Peter makes the best of what he has by using his brain and his superpowers to his advantage. He’s prepared to hide out until he was old enough to get a job and be considered an adult by the state. He’s determined to find a way to live and survive until he could get back on his feet, alone.
Then an internship and a chance fight against the supervillain, Iron Man, changes everything, even his Parker Luck.
(Doing a re-write of the series now that I know where it ended up. Will leave up the original series. This one will have some new/added scenes or thigs I originally cut to save time. Hopefully better formatting and fewer mistakes…hopefully.)

Just before the battle with Thanos, Dr Strange pulls together enough power to send one person to a different dimension. A chance for that person to be safe from the destruction that Thanos was about to wrought on Earth. The group about to fight agreed that Peter Parker, for sheer virtual of being the only person not an adult there, would get the dubious honor.
Which is how Peter finds himself waking up in Gotham City, a place even crueler and darker than New York City. Peter has to try to find a way to fit into this new universe at just sixteen years old.
"I am still just your butler, and I cannot simply tell you that you will be adopting a new son. But I truly am not getting younger. You have seven children now, even if you haven’t adopted all of them legally. There is much more work than when it was just you and I. There is perhaps too much work for just myself, and then providence dropped a starving young man into my pathway for me to mold into a new generation of caretaker,” Alfred tried to explain himself.

Buck wasn't scared of death, not anymore, but he figured that was normal. He survived being crushed by a firetruck, a blood clot, and a fucking tsunami. He has escaped death so many times he wasn't scared anymore, and yeah, maybe that has made him reckless. Maybe he didn't always look both ways before crossing the street, and yeah, sometimes he threw himself into work without really thinking of the consequences. Finally, he looked over at Saleh, and all hope left him. He couldn't do this. He couldn't save Saleh, and he couldn't save himself. His knees hit the floor with a thud, the rope threatening to slip from his fingers as he came to terms with this being the end.
