After spending practically the entirety of her remembered life deep below ground, Chell can finally take her first real breath of fresh air. But her newfound freedom doesn’t last long. Soon, very soon, Chell learns that the world has changed for the worse.
Ten years previously, whilst Aperture Science had her contained far from the light of day, their rival Black Mesa had made a disastrous error during an experiment, unleashing a tidal wave of extradimensional horrors upon humankind. Now, under the subjugation of a cruel and powerful alien race, both humankind and their planet are edging ever closer to extinction.
But unbeknownst to Chell, there is a possibility, however slight, that knows a secret that could change everything. She just has to live long enough to reveal it.
