'“Director?” Coulson called over the radio. “Directer Fury, do you copy?”
Instead of saying something like, ‘yes, agent, me and my assistant are fine, thank you,’ Fury responded with, “The tesseract is with a hostile force. I have men down. Hill?”
“A lot of men still under,” Agent Hill responded, sounding harried. “I don’t know how many survivors.”
“Sound a general call,” Fury ordered. “I want every living soul not working rescue looking for that briefcase.”
“Rodger that,” Hill responded.
“Coulson, get back to base. This is a Level Seven.” Fury glanced over at Merlin as he continued, “As of right now, we are at war.”
Merlin pursed his lips at that, looking back the way Loki had disappeared.
“What do we do?” Coulson asked quietly.
Fury lowered his radio slowly, staring out at nothing. “Will you help?” He asked Merlin, not bothering to face him.
Merlin bit his lip, thinking. Then he sighed, and squared his shoulders. “The prat would never forgive me if he found out I’d run off somewhere instead. ’Specially now he knows I can actually handle myself.”'

Summary
Saying that it started as a normal weekend getaway would be a lie – but when the message turns out to be a trick, things get even more complicated.
Three strangers rush to a remote holiday resort and find out that they’re all connected through their past with Benoit Blanc. But instead of the detective, they meet his spouse, Philip, who swears he doesn’t know anything about the S.O.S. message he allegedly sent them. Helping them uncover this mystery is another guest at the resort: an elderly man with curious habits, who asks to be called simply Columbo.
Along the way, they may find out there’s much more that connects them than a famous name.
