The man gave him a small smile which he thought was a nice distraction from his numerous pains.
" I'm doctor Jonathan Reid. You've been under my care since you came in", the man, or Jonathan said.
" Geoffrey McCullumn", he replied together with a hand raised for a well met.
Jonathan looked at his limb, worried again before shaking it gently and laying it down just as much. It was probably because he was still fresh from whatever hell his body went through. Yet the gesture still made Geoffrey all fuzzy inside. It's the way it was callous but soft.
*Damn it must be the morphine making him loose*, Geoffrey thought.
(Geoffrey being thrown by a nearby artillery shell only to land on a bed with a hot doctor to look after him)

The scent off the alpha finally hit him, a musky, earthy tang that always made his nose try to retract into his face.
Well, usually that's what alpha scent did to Kip. Usually he'd subtly pull away and put some distance between himself and whoever was invading his nostrils. This alpha, though, was having the opposite effect. That grounding musk with a hint of lavender and blueberries wasn't in the least bit offensive. No, it was…nice. Calming. It was making Kip feel a little lighter on his feet, actually. His constantly-worrisome brain was quieting down as he stared into the green irises looking back at him with intensity. The more Kip breathed in, the more entranced he became.
