Huge blushes whenever they looked at him. Little jolts of his heart whenever their hands brushed. Trying to keep a straight face whenever they spoke to him, hoping to not appear like an idiot.

Gyro squinted at him. “Wait, what’s that from?”
“What?” Fenton asked, looking back at him.
“That scar on your hip. I don’t think I’ve seen that one before.” Gyro told him, tilting his head a little.
“Oh, this one?” Fenton asked, touching it. “I think that one’s from that one time when I walked past one of the sharp components that hadn’t been rounded off yet, and I got too close.”
Gyro sat up a little, realizing that he didn’t know the stories behind most of Fenton’s scars. Or if he did, he was unable to remember them. “What about the one on your arm?” -

Gyro studied him for a moment as silence reclaimed the lab. “I don’t get it,” he said after a moment. “Why don’t you feel better? I tried and you looked happier… Did I not do it right? I was supposed to come help cheer you up!”
“Aw, no, Gy!” Fenton sat up, shifting so he could sit next to Gyro with his back against the window. “You did it perfectly, you made me feel much better, thank you.”
“So then why aren’t you happy?” Gyro asked, curious. “I’m always happier after you come and cheer me up.”
Fenton gave him a smile that was supposed to be encouraging, but Gyro could sense it was a little strained. “Well, sometimes people just need to feel sad about things. Feeling all of your emotions sometimes is better than quickly moving past the ones you don’t like.”
