Summary
She looked into his eyes. And there it was—his unfiltered self.
The corners of his brows were pinched down, the straight bridge of his nose wrinkled from how hard he was sneering. Her gaze travelled over the flush blooming across his cheeks and ears.
But his eyes—his eyes were the window to his soul.
They flickered like Dante’s nine pits of hellfire, and the longer she looked, the deeper she felt their blaze sear her from within.
To the edges of pain, through the echoing corridors of damnation, she would follow him willingly. When the fire caught her, she would not flinch—not because she sought hell, but because it was his hell, and she would burn there beside him, eternally, endlessly.
“You still love me,” she gasped—forcing the words past the fingers crushing the air from her throat. “You can’t stand it, but you do.”
—Or—
Tom finds out what Hermione did and everything spirals from there. -

Summary
All the wardens, patients, and even the doctors of St. Mungo’s parted as Hermione Granger was led down the corridor—her slight frame swallowed by the sterile blue of her hospital gown, her hair a storm of unrestrained curls.
The guard beside her kept his distance, though the tremor in his clenched fists betrayed his unease.
Tangled hair curtained her face, shielding her from the hush of whispers that rose like gnats in her wake.
"Heard she killed them in cold blood."
"God help us—the Potters they were. Such kindred souls. You never know what masks people wear these days."
------OR------
Dear readers, I ask you this simple question; what do you think happens when monsters learn to wear masks?
More specifically…the mask of kindness?
