The bachelor arrives at the haruspex's lair distraught after Eva's death and the haruspex seeks distract him by enlisting him as his assistant for the night. Perhaps that's' not the only distraction he will find this night.

"He raises his hand and Stakh instinctively leans down in order for Dankovsky to caress his cheek. “You do remember what we've discussed, correct?” he says. Stakh hesitates a moment before saying “yes”. In response, the bachelor simply quirks up an eyebrow at him. Stakh quickly corrects himself “Yes, master”.“ Good” Dankovsky says, as he gently strokes the side of Stakh’s face again and Stakh can't help but lean into his touch like a cat. Dankovsky then pulls back his gloved hand and steps away from him."
