Summary
First things first: Bobby was kidnapped by a demon.
How the demon made it through the new honmoon didn’t matter. (even if it was maddening and confusing and stupid) And it also didn’t matter if Bobby knew demons were real or not anymore, because Rumi didn’t really have a choice in the matter when an eight-foot-tall blue horned monstrosity hoiked him over his back, made eye contact with her while she was on stage, winked at her (the audacity!?) and poofed away in a cloud of pink smoke.
“In the middle of rehearsal?!” shrieked Zoey. “That’s disrespectful!"
in which Rumi goes demon mode on some guys who stole bobby and then has a crash out over failing to create the golden honmoon.

Summary
There was something wrong with the weather. She should have noticed it. She was always quite aware of the weather when she was in a single room shack with only the merest suggestion of where a roof might have been, but her hands were very busy with a very important task, and she couldn’t very well fix the weather when her hands were already up to her elbows in shadow and string and ill-behaved bone.
Imogen learns she can see into dreams and finds it quite distressing.

Summary
Imogen breathed a long sigh and Laudna froze in place because she’d said the wrong thing again, and Laudna couldn’t stop saying the wrong things. Everything about her was wrong and no amount of practice with Pate could account for how bad she was at speaking to a real living person.
Laudna thinks about her hair.

Summary
Imogen walked forward toward the place where the canopy above was densest, the light on the ground like weak tea. “I read a book about a lost god of shadow. How everyone thinks it’s dead.” She held up the crystal. “But I don’t think you can kill a god.”
A voice like an angry wind shot around her. “I can assure you; I am quite dead.”Imogen takes a gamble on a god inside the forest

Summary
The world was silent, but Laudna’s heart was crashing through the pasture and kicking up a fuss. The snow had started a full week earlier than expected, and Imogen was worrying herself with a weeks worth of chores that she insisted couldn’t be done after the snow set in. Heating the barn, changing out the old hay for new, washing the blankets for Flora and Side Salad, and no, just prestidigitating ‘em wasn’t good enough, because she’d been relying on that too much lately and Flora can tell the difference.
Laudna makes hot cocoa for Imogen.

Summary
It’d be easier if she took her hoodie off, her inner voice reminded her petulantly, anything to get some cool air against her skin.
Rumi pushed the thought aside, it would be fine. She had been warm before, she could be warm again.
-Or-
Rumi has been warned repeatedly about the perils of wearing layers and warm clothing in the California heat. Too bad she doesn't listen.

Summary
She pushes her glasses back up her nose, eyes never moving from the spot on Rumi’s shoulder. Hm. They are, in fact, still there.
“Zoey,” Mira calls, keeping her voice low, not wanting to alert Rumi, because, quite frankly, she needs to talk to anyone else who isn't the source of the problem right now.
Zoey, thankfully, picks up on the tone in her voice, easily making her way over from across the compound, giving Mira a look. Mira just gestures for Zoey to get closer to her, and once Zoey is shoulder-to-shoulder with her, Mira gestures over toward Rumi.
There’s a pause.
“Huh,” Zoey decides, frowning. “That’s...” she trails off, waving a hand as she tilts her head to the side. “Different.”
“Something like that,” Mira agrees, crossing her arms over her chest. “Rumi has patterns.”
Zoey makes a noise. “Yeah. I guess so, huh?”
(or, mira and zoey discover rumi's patterns early and make it their life goal to...help)

Summary
"$15.25 sounds about right," Mira nods, looking at some sort of menu on her phone, sitting in the backseat.
"Yeah," Rumi looks over her shoulder to face Mira, and reaches out to hold Zoey's free hand. "So about $150 plus dollars for ten wings, makes sense."
Zoey almost spins out on the narrow, two-lane county road.
She turns her head to stare at Rumi. "God, you two drive me crazy—it's $15.25 for all ten! Ten! Over a dollar per wing! Which is, honestly, already so much—"
--
OR: Zoey finds the most ridiculous chicken wing restaurant on the internet, Rumi and Mira take it personally.

Summary
from the prompt: nail
//
‘Zoey, can I talk to you for a minute?’
Rumi’s tone freezes her in place. It’s gentle but cautious and peeking at her face—her expression hesitant, if not worried—confirms Zoey’s fears; whatever Rumi wants to talk about, Zoey isn’t going to like it.
‘Sure! Absolutely! I’m kinda in the middle of something—do you wanna talk about it now or later? Later is probably better for me,’ she muses with a wide grin that hopefully hides the way her heart feels like Rumi has thrown it onto a roller coaster without any of the safety checks or bumpers. Everything is climbing, climbing. Zoey is definitely not sweating. ‘Oh, later is actually - it might have to be, like, later later because I promised Mira that we would go on a shop run—’
‘No, you didn’t.’ Mira doesn’t even bother to look up from her phone when she commits her foul treachery. ‘When I asked you to come, you said you’d—and I quote—vivisect me if I made you leave the house today.’
Fucking snitch.

Summary
Only once have you felt your broken body so thoroughly deny you and even then, with the rope tight around your throat, you had at least been able to weep, to scream. Your body kneels, staggers. It fights for breath it does not need.
You had not thought it possible to grow colder, a chill that seeps from your soul and finds nowhere to go. Quietly, shakily, you whisper, Delilah? It falls not from your lips, but from your mind. You have never wanted an answer less.
-
In the quiet dark of the Parchwood, Delilah takes control. Bells Hells do not notice.
