Summary
Ophelia Hawthorne is used to being left behind. As her friends drift and Mystic Falls begins to feel unfamiliar, she finds herself pulled into a world she never knew was happening around her. What starts as strange encounters and unanswered questions quickly unravels into something far darker and far older.
Caught between the human life she's losing and the supernatural destiny she never asked for, Ophelia discovers she is bound to not one, but four soulmates. And in Mystic Falls, love is never simple-especially when it's written in blood, fate, and forever.

Summary
Opie didn’t remember hiring her.
He remembered Piney telling him he couldn’t keep leaving the kids alone.
He remembered Unser mentioning a woman from the church bulletin board.
He remembered nodding, because nodding was easier than thinking. But he didn’t remember this.
Kenny was laughing.
Opie stopped just inside the doorway, helmet still in his hand, the sound hitting him harder than any punch he’d taken in the last six months. Kenny was sprawled on the living room floor, giggling as Ellie crawled over his back, and the woman sitting with them—young, barefoot, hair pulled back—was smiling like it was the most natural thing in the world.
She looked up when she noticed him.
No fear. No judgment.
Just quiet acknowledgment.
“Hey,” she said softly. “They missed you.”
Opie swallowed.
No one had said that to him since Donna died.
