Buck texts Eddie: "Bring your container over. I made too much pasta."
Which is how Eddie found himself quietly walking over to Buck’s house at half past ten in nothing but gray sweats, clutching a tupperware with a red lid. He hadn’t even bothered putting his shirt back on.

What if I told you that Buck was Athena's son from the beginning.
Before being a firefighter,
Before meeting and loving Eddie and Christopher Diaz
Before the tsunami and the truck bombing
Before Athena met Micheal
Before Athena and Micheal had May and Harry, they had BuckBefore Emmett died...
This is the tragic, loving, emotional, story of how Evan Buckley became Evan Buckley W. Carter.
August 28th, 1990
Evan Buckley has been walking around the streets of Florida for a while his feet hurt and his arm hurts and he’s tired and just wants to go home but he can’t all he has to hope for is that his parents will come back for him except he doesn’t think they will, so he wanders the streets cold and tired.
“Mommy! Mommy! Where are you?!” Evan cries out to anyone who is listening. He decides that he’s done walking, and he can't do it anymore for the night, so he lays down in an alleyway on a trash bag even though it’s really smelly and goes to sleep. “Happy birthday me,” he says soo softly that nobody would listen even if someone was around.

Summary
Evan knows that wish babies are extremely rare, the Fae only grant a handful of wishes per year and almost never to single parents. But Evan so desperately wants a family to love that he’s been subconsciously wishing since he was a teenager.
Eddie hadn’t thought of wishing for a baby, he had barely heard of wish babies or soulmates, his parents didn’t believe in such things. Eddie desperately wanted a place for him and his son to belong, a family that would accept him without demanding that he change who he was to fit their impossibly unrealistic expectations. -

Summary
He should have known the plan was doomed to fail, especially once Eddie had looked at him and said “Buck, this is without a doubt the stupidest plan you’ve ever had. Of course I’m in,” and had slid his hand into Buck’s back pocket without the slightest hesitation, pressed so close to his side as they strolled up the hotel reception and announced they were on their honeymoon that daylight could not be seen between them.

Buck doesn’t take his hands off Eddie’s shoulders as he glances over to Athena and Nash, who are watching the display calibrate. “How’d we do?”
“See for yourself,” Athena says.
Bad, Eddie thinks.
But he can’t read her – doesn’t know what it’s going to say. For all he knows, he’s going to look up and the words Eddie Diaz Should Be Dead will be flashing across the screen. He half-expects it.
He wants to brace Buck for it, for the disappointment – wants to explain that whatever has screwed his compatibility scores till now, this one is all on Eddie.
“Oh, shit…” Buck whispers.
Eddie lifts his head, finally lets himself look, and then takes an inhale so sharp he tastes blood.
Oh, shit.
