Cam was torn between envy and relief that he wasn't Sheppard; he was sure his own 'mate with me to preserve our species' request was just a mission or three away.

She whispered, “I heard everything, Jax…when I was a plushie.”
His face burned. “Wh— you—! Y-you—.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean for you to freak out.”
His chest thumped so hard it hurt. “Pomni—”
And then she said it, simple as anything, like it wasn’t about to wreck him completely:
“I like you too, Jax.”
Awwww So cute

Summary
Pomni "falls" in a lake made of stupid sauce on one of Caine's adventures. The problem with stupid sauce, is that no one has a filter on it. Another problem can arise when you suspect a mischievous rabbit to actually have nice tendencies, even when other people don't believe him. The biggest problem is that it can reveal animosities one has against the people who appear the nicest.
All Jax can do it watch while Pomni manages to embarrass him in front of everyone more than she embarrasses herself.

Summary
Pomni and Jax. Everyone in the high school theatre class knew them - even more so to stay away from them whenever a new production started. They couldn’t stand being near one another. They argued whenever one of them was too close during a dance number. They fought over props that they thought belonged to them. And they always had colourful language any time they even glanced at each other. As much as they loved theatre, they couldn’t stand each other.
So what happens when their casted as the Nutcracker and Clara for this year's Christmas play?

A thud on the window made them jump, whipping round to see Gangle’s rapidly excited face smeared against it, “MY SHIP IS BECOMING TRUE!”
“GANGLE WHAT THE FU-!”
SOO CUTE!!! That '"GANGLE WHAT THE FU-!"' Was the SAME energy as Zooble's "POMNI WHAT THE FU-!" from Funny Things.

Jax took another bite—small, cautious, like he still didn’t trust the food. He frowned thoughtfully.
“Okay but seriously,” he muttered, “there is no universe where Zooble, Ragatha, and Gangle made this.”
Pomni blinked. “You don’t know that.”
Jax pointed toward the side of the room without even turning. “Pomni. My chair faces the kitchen door. I can see in there.”
“…Oh.”
Jax pointed at the door. “Yeah. They have been plastered against that doorway for the last hour like a bunch of pervs watching a nature documentary.”
She opened her mouth, then shut it.
“That… tracks.”
“Zooble hasn’t touched the stove,” Jax continued, counting off on his fingers. “Gangle nearly dropped the tray three times just walking in here. And Ragatha—”
He stopped and visibly shuddered.
Pomni leaned forward. “What happened?”
“I heard Gangle squeaking and then Zooble yell, ‘WHY ARE YOU SETTING THE SOUP ON FIRE?!’ Next thing I know Gangle is physically pushing Ragatha out of the kitchen like she’s a ticking bomb.”
Pomni slapped a hand over her mouth, laughing hard. “She tried to burn our soup?”
“She almost succeeded,” he said darkly. “Kinger had to put it out with a pot lid.”
Pomni blinked. “Wait. So Kinger was cooking?”
“Oh yeah.” Jax nodded solemn and assured. “This has Kinger written all over it anyway.”
“But he was a computer scientist,” Pomni argued weakly.
“Exactly,” Jax countered. “Hyperfocus. Precision. No concept of time. No instinct for self-preservation. They’re very similar, no?”
Pomni wheezed. “Jax, that makes zero sense!”
“It makes perfect sense,” Jax said stubbornly, crossing his arms. “Look at this presentation. Look at the texture! That man just made the best #%!$ing risotto I’ve ever had my life.”
Pomni doubled over, laughing so hard her jewelry shook.
Jax softened; barely, but unmistakably.
Pomni finally calmed down, wiping at her eyes again. “Okay… okay, yeah. Definitely Kinger.”
Jax hummed. “I told you.”
Why is this so good? This should be illegal.

Summary
Mumbo doesn’t say anything for a moment, and Grian doesn’t look at him - until a hand gently clasps over his shoulder. “Things do change,” he starts. “We’re both growing as people, Grian, and you’re dealing with memory loss and the things the Watchers have done with you. And it’s not always going to be easy.”
“Comforting,” he mutters, and the hand tightens ever so slightly - not painfully so, just added pressure.
“It doesn’t mean it’s going to change for the worse, mate.” Mumbo squeezes his shoulder once more, before letting go.
Or: Grian and Mumbo have finally been reunited after being torn apart - but they have a lot to learn after almost three years of being separated, and Grian has to figure out just where his place is among the Hermits.

Bookmarker's Notes
When the summoned enderman is encouraged to pick up a block of dirt, its hands phase through and pick up a summoned leaf block, leaving the ground whole, and the enderman somewhat sourly staring down at its changed prize.
Grian cannot help but feel a pang in his chest at the sight, a crawling of sympathy. Endermen... they like to look, but do not like to be seen. They have experienced the stifling silence of the void (even if it is not the same as the Watcher's dimension, if the End is somehow more lively) and have only a simple pleasure. A single vice, that is inconvenient and build-destroying, but not harmful. It’s an innocent habit.
He is not born of the End, nor does he share code with its children, but he cannot help but see himself in the disappointed creature.
“Xisuma,” he says seriously, and the Admin glances to him with thinly-veiled shock at the unbutchered name. “Could we uh - change it so that they pick up dirt blocks, and just place leaves?”
“Ah, well -” Xisuma follows his gaze, and Grian wonders what he sees. “Yeah. Yeah, I think that could work.”
And it takes a bit more coding, a bit more fumbling - the first tester-enderman picks up Podzol, peculiarly, and the second picks up dirt and places a leaf block that seems to have somehow become multiple entities, and that nearly lags the entire world for a few glorious moments. Finally, they finally settle on a functioning code. One is better than he proposed - giving the creature a clone of what they were after, instead of limiting their hobby to only one block. It feels right.
The enderman, when it tests their efforts, does not smile. It physically can’t. But its eyes seem all the brighter, hands squishing the grass block happily.
ARGGGHH THIS IS SO GOOD!!! The HEALING oh my VOID!!!!

The Admin sinks to one knee. “What are you doing?” Xelqua demands before he can stop himself, voice cracking.
“Well,” a voice comes from The Admin, and it is… it is not weird, but it is, and Xelqua can not describe how - just that it sends another shiver down his spine. “You don’t exactly look happy, and I’m afraid that may have something to do with me.”
It does. “That doesn’t exactly explain your… Everything.”
“No use in intimidating you, friend.”

Summary
Grian wasn't even picky about his preferences! It wasn’t about appearances, he wasn’t shallow. What he wanted was simple: someone kind, someone who could make him laugh, and, alright, someone nice enough to look at across the breakfast table. Was that really too much to ask?
Apparently, yes. Yes it was.Bookmarked by Ashflake24

Bookmarker's Notes
"Grian, don't you know Mumbo?"
The name made him pause. Mumbo. That was familiar. His brain spun through memories, dusty yearbooks, bad cafeteria food, awkward middle school moments- ah. That Mumbo. The quiet kid in class who was always scribbling something in his notebooks and wore the same hoodie three days in a row.
Grian turned around.
And then promptly forgot how to breathe.
Because the man standing in front of him, this Mumbo, was not the awkward, lanky classmate he remembered. This Mumbo was taller. Sharper. Hotter. Unreasonably hotter. His jawline looked like it had been crafted by angels, and his hair fell just messily enough to look intentional. And his suit? Unfair. Illegal, even.
Grian blinked once. Twice. A triple-take, his brain short-circuiting.
When the hell had Mumbo gotten this hot?

Doc exhaled in frustration, “Why do we get involved in the cheesiest and corniest things ever?” The tall hybrid said, his eyes looking at the circle of Hermits. “Can’t we just brute force this?” He asked.
“Brute force? Like locking them in a base or something?” Impulse said jokingly, waiting for Doc to laugh.
Silence…
Doc started walking towards Xisuma's base.
“Wait— Doc, that’s a bad idea!” Keralis started to run after the tall hybrid.
Xisuma couldn’t believe he was trapped here with Grian, of all people!
