Hyunjin wasn’t unloved growing up, far from it in fact. But that didn’t change how difficult it was to grow up transgender after coming out at only 11 years old. He had known for years that his body did not match who he was and that thought sent him to sleep in tears. Hyunjin loved his parents dearly, and they loved him. They tried so hard to understand him, they coped with the name change and pronoun changes but couldn’t cope with him changing how he looked. So he never did, he kept his hair long, and was forced to wear skirts. It was hard for him growing up, he never felt like he belonged anywhere, even at home.
