Summary
This is simply an early scene written from Carmilla's point of view. She is apparently sarcastic and dramatic inside her own head, too. I wanted to imagine what it was like for her, and also to understand why the centuries-old vampire ended up in such a humiliating situation to begin with.

Summary
Inspired by Season 1 Episode 3, "Dreamworker", in which Gabrielle is kidnapped by an evil cult, and Xena must face her past in the Dream Passage in order to rescue her.
This is a re-imagining of the Dreamworker episode. This episode rocks, but I was a bit disappointed by Morpheus as a villain. Of course, they can’t really get more in-depth in 40 minutes. So, I took the concept to where it could have gone in a full length movie.
Gabrielle is captured and Xena plans a rescue, but the King of Dreams stands between them. In order to reunite, each must confront her own guilt, insecurities, and desires in the land of dreams. Xena fights desperately to finish the Dream Passage before Gabrielle is forced to make a terrible choice. But Gabrielle struggles with her own desire to prove herself, and time is not on their side. Morpheus has no intention of standing by to watch, and uses their own minds against them in a battle of illusion, perception, and manipulation.
As reality and dream blend together, how can anything be as it seems?

Summary
When I was a teen and first reading the Tortall books, this was my only fanfic. I had taken the characters and plot and dumped them into a universe of my own making. That universe didn’t have gods who interfered in the way canon-verse does, and resulted in some AU pairings. This spring, when I started thinking about putting this on AO3, I thought it would be more accessible if I brought it back into the canon-verse, particularly since I’ve lost the original story for my verse that explained the geography, history, and politics. I’ve cut out a bunch of the boring canon-rewrite scenes that were necessary in my own verse but are suitably covered in canon, so it’s best to approach these as a collection of missing scenes, rather than a continuous story. I’ll put commentary on the stories where they come into play but the two main non-canonical pairings that I couldn’t fix are Keladry of Mindelan / Nealan of Queenscove & Alianne of Pirate’s Swoop / Taybur Sibigat. I don’t recommend subscribing to the series just yet – I’m about to dump >700 pages of fanfic on AO3. If you want actual new content (should any materialize), subscribe once you see “The Grandkids”.

Summary
Believing Regulus sold him out again, Sirius says some hurtful things and pushes his brother away. With the advent of Lucius Malfoy's visit to the Black family after years, this is a bad time for a rift between the brothers.
In hindsight Sirius wishes he'd seen all the signs of how Lucius has been hurting his brother.
