Summary
When a strange dog brings an even stranger child to the Kents' doorstep, the couple does not hesitate to adopt him whatever his origin. When that child later brings a strange, half-drowned runaway to that same doorstep, they do not hesitate to help him either. When the runaway later returns, now a young man, they welcome him back. These are the weavings of Fate.
Their runaway might fear what may follow him to the Kents' doorstep, but perhaps he should have paid more attention to the being that first brought him there.
