Summary
Seven years ago, something akin to a curse befell the ten kingdoms. Ten dragonets, one from each tribe, would become an animus. Their latent genes would be awakened—the gene pool had been diluted too much. Yet, it seems, as the animus powers began to show themselves, something began cracking below the surface…
A dragon recently approached the queens of each tribe. She told them who the animus were—but her words stuck with the queens—that something deep below the surface would ruin the kingdoms. Soon after this, a Nightwing seer spilt a prophecy of pure fear.
The queens have finally come to a consensus. They will send the animus—as well as 10 protectors from each tribe—to the dragon who approached. Whatever they knew about animus, the dragoness would know more. And finally, finally, the dragons have arrived…but whatever could be wrong with the palace they’re all in? Why is there tapping when nobodies there?
