Summary
Bleeding Hearts Day is the Boiling Isles version of Valentine's Day. People donate their blood to the Vampire Coven to supply them with blood to drink throughout the year then go do something romantic.
The yearly blood drive to help the vampires restock their supply has failed this year, meaning there's a feeding frenzy. When there's a feeding frenzy, all the vampires go berserk and try to drain blood by force. To protect themselves, everybody barricades in their homes from sunset to sunrise. Only the foolish would stay outside while the vampires are hunting.
At least couples can shelter together and cuddle.
