Summary
“Trust me, I promise,” Phil says, and every rational bone in his body tells him not to, that it is an impossible thing to promise, and the universe will ultimately prove Phil a liar, but, for once, his instincts override all reason, and he nods slowly in agreement.
“I trust you,” Technoblade says, and, for the first time in his life, he means it.

“Wh— what?” Tommy choked out, his voice hoarse from the lack of use all day.
The man rolled his eyes, as if he didn’t just ask a completely impolite question. “I said, do you have any booze?”
Tommy sat still. He reached into his jacket pocket, his hand finding only a plastic pen. Could he stab this man with a plastic pen?
Tommy pulled said piece of plastic out, visibly holding it up. “I have a pen.” Something about the bemused look on the man's face made Tommy click it, and again, repeatedly.

Summary
When Tommy drops out of school and runs away from home at seventeen, he only has one destination in mind: his older cousin Techno's apartment. He has no idea what he wants to do with his life once he arrives, but everything changes when he begins working at a secondhand bookstore owned by Wilbur Soot. Slowly but surely, Tommy learns to love the town and the people around him, and learns how to change their lives as well.

Summary
Phil doesn’t go into the cities anymore. Once had been enough, and he doesn’t have a death wish.
He chooses only to watch them in the distance, or pass by them from time to time as he walks. The buildings loom in the distance, their once-shining rooftops now overgrown and dull with no one to take care of them. If you get close enough, you smell the stench of rot and death. It’s a smell you can never get out of your nose, discovered one night after the initial wave where Phil tried desperately to scrub out his nose, sticking cloth and then even fingers as far up as he could to try and wash the smell out of his sinuses. It didn’t work, and the smell has stayed with him since. He tries to look past it, look past the cities, and continue walking forward. That’s what he attributes his survival to, really. The ability to look past everything, stare the dead in the eyes, and still walk on after he’s shot them in the head. They were people once, but thinking about it too much makes his hands start to shake so Phil looks past it and walks on.
(SBI zombie apocalypse AU. sort of phil-centric, but not entirely!)
