Summary
Even after traveling among those stars, even after all the trauma and terror, he can still look to the sky and feel whatever it is that he's feeling that makes the corners of his mouth tilt in a soft, subconscious smile. He gives her hope that someday, somehow, she might be able to do the same; that someday there will be nothing but the softest of scar tissue in the places where her wounds run deepest.
She finds herself adrift after returning from Ultima Thule; fortunately, G'raha is there to anchor her.

Emet-Selch rose at last to join his friend’s side. His gaze cast beyond the window where the Azem-familiar yet explored the gardens of Anagnorisis, most visibly elated and astonished by the sight of a simple, dour-looking and grey bird.
He sighed and threw his hands up in a shrug. “Where would you like me to begin?”
