Alhaitham sighs, irritation prickling at his skin. “Our relationship exists outside the standard societal model of a ‘friendship’. Thus, the labels we have settled on are quite accurate. Kaveh is my companion and partner, and I am his. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to check into our hotel.”
A trip to Fontaine results in Faranak misunderstanding quite a bit about queerplatonic relationships, and leaves Alhaitham wondering if Kaveh is truly happy in theirs.

“How are you doing?” Alhaitham asks him. Kaveh shrugs.

“From what I’ve heard, you seem to be well off,” Alhaitham says. “Quite the accomplishment to be living in a home of your own design.”
In which Kaveh's father lived, Alhaitham's grandmother didn't raise him, and now Kaveh has a house and Alhaitham doesn't.

Summary
Water. Cold, heavy, dark. A burning, in his throat and lungs. A song echoes below Kaveh, akin to the mournful call of a whale. The singer's voice is eerily familiar. Scales brush against his skin, the song pausing long enough for a single phrase, whispered in Sumerian:
"How has realizing your ideals gone for you?"
Kaveh's unlikely friendship (and subsequent fight) with Alhaitham, a mer from the deep sea, leads to what might be the ocean's worst roommate situation after Alhaitham saves the architect from drowning. Kaveh, now stuck in an unfamiliar body and location, has to deal with the fact that he might not be able to return to his life on land.

Summary
In Teyvat, visions are gifts from the gods, forever connecting an individual to the constellations above. As soon as one receives a vision, one’s appearance changes, reflecting that of their constellation in the night sky.
Kaveh and Alhaitham are students at the Akademiya when Alhaitham returns from an research trip with wings. Years later, Kaveh gains a vision and wings of his own.

Summary
When Kaveh was still a student, there was barely any time to think about romance, though. He noticed it alright, but always in relation to others, always too busy himself to even spare it any thought. "I’m dedicating myself to my studies", he would say to the nice aunties at the food stalls whenever they decided that he was a good enough candidate for their daughters and started to coax him into agreeing to a date. Then, "there is no time for looking for a partner when I have to make a name for myself", he would find himself answering whoever brought up the topic after his successful graduation.

Or: Kaveh has always been too busy to spare romance much thought. After some time living with Alhaitham, though, he finds himself just free enough to finally consider the matter, and what he finds is that he might not really want it as much as the whole world seems to want it. The thing is, though, he is also not necessarily against it, and when he and his roommate start to get closer, he finds that some aspects of it are... nice. And that with the right person, there really may be some appeal to the whole ordeal.Bookmarked by Amity206
