Summary
It's been a year since they met, and their lives couldn't be more different. Suddenly, Heyu is the de facto mayor of a developing town and Humi is a roboticist with a dozen ongoing projects. not bad for a cashier and a homeless kid!
But there's no reason to rest on their laurels. Eggman's forces never stop moving, so neither can they. It just gets busier from here!

Summary
The Eclipse Cannon Incident was mentally and emotionally taxing for everyone involved. The fate of the world was at stake, and Sonic and friends barely pulled through, losing a rival and potential friend in the process. After all that, Heyu is ready to relax at home with a minimum of fuss and worry.
The minimum of fuss isn't none, however, not when you live in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Between Humi's expanding tech base and new neighbors moving in, things aren't likely to be quiet for long.
And maybe that's not a bad thing.

Things are finally settling down. Heyu, Humi and Iota are staying at Heyu's parents' place in Station Square while their home gets renovated, and things are going great! Everyone's getting along, and it's nice to be back in his hometown.
And yet, something's prickling at the back of his mind. Like he's waiting for the other shoe to drop.
It's probably nothing. It's not like Eggman is going to come out of nowhere with yet another giant space gun, right?
