The Cloud Recesses Guest Lectures were held every three years for disciples between the ages of fifteen and eighteen. They had three purposes.
The first (and the reason it was hosted by the Lan) was to provide a shared baseline understanding of the core cultivation topics that underpinned every sect while not divulging clan-specific approaches.
The second was to create opportunities for friendships and alliances that would reduce the chance of war between the clans.
The third, and most important, was for the clans to replenish their bloodline by finding compatible mates with strong cultivation skills. In the last month of the lectures, challenges to test compatibility could be issued.
Wei Wuxian challenges Lan Wangji, sure that they are compatible mates. The Lan refuse to allow the Challenge.

Danny figures that if he does the exact opposite, then he can get Bruce Wayne to never meet with Vlad again. But it turns out that starting a fight with Damian Wayne was not the best way to get the Wayne's mad at him, and in Damians case especially, it apparently did the opposite.
Or, Danny finds out that sparring with low stakes is really fun, and he maybe gets carried away in more sense than one.

The current one the perverted S-Class is showing him is a tight pink shirt with faint heart designs in the fabric’s texture and thin straps that’s too low cut for his liking, along with a pink cardigan so light that it might as well be white, with long sleeves that nearly cover his hands. To match, he picked out a low-waisted pink pair of pants that are tight around the hips and thighs, but fray out on the bottom with a pink bow on top of white ruffles starting around mid-way through the shin, and white, shiny mary jane platform shoes with another bow Including a pink bow to clip a part of his hair to the side, and a long pink bow ribbon to replace his current choker - and considering the store they’re in, it’s pretty likely that the ribbon also has some protective stats - the whole outfit is…
Hideous.
But judging by the almost hungry look in Hyunjae’s golden eyes, Yoojin’s the only one who thinks so.

It doesn't end well.
So I (22M) have been trying to get into contact with my younger brother (17M) for the past few months. Today’s his birthday, and I got him a cake and showed up to his workplace and tried giving it to him, but his personal assistant wouldn't let me in. This has happened every time I've tried to see him. Whenever I text him or call him he never replies either.
For context, when we were both really young, our parents started leaving us alone a lot. I was the one who had to take care of him. It was fine because they would still send us money though. He was also a really good kid, so I didn't mind at all! He was the perfect younger brother.
