Preoccupied with musing over what the ideal breakfast would be, Tommy didn't notice the stranger until she was already throwing a kick his way.
Tommy jumped back in the nick of time, feeling a rush of air go past his face.
A sword was in Tommy’s hand a moment later as he lunged forward to return the favour.
He didn't know who this lady was, but she was human and she was obviously hostile. Based on the bits of information Tommy had gathered about this world, it wasn't too hard to fill in the gaps.
She was an enemy of the turtles and their father. And this was far from her first fight.

Nothing else was said as Wilbur slipped his hands into his coat pockets and started walking away without so much as a ‘goodbye’ to Tommy.
Tommy was forced to watch Wilbur’s retreating back as soul crushing loss carved deep grooves into his heart. Wilbur left, and with him he took every single warm and reassuring memory Tommy had ever shared with his older brother.
Tommy opened his eyes to darkness and the heavy weight of something sad coiled in his chest.
A feeling that refused to go away even after Tommy had pulled out Wilbur's book with a shaky hand to prove to himself that it was just a shitty dream.

His body felt different. He didn't feel like himself anymore, why the fuck didn't he feel like himself- what did Exdei do to him? He looked down at his hands and found little sand coloured paws in their place.
