Summary
It was supposed to be a simple mission—fly in, disable the Galra outpost, fly out. But, because of course, nothing ever goes to plan when Lance and Keith are involved. One ambush, two malfunctioning lions, and one very unfortunate crash-landing later, they’re stranded on an uncharted jungle planet with no backup, no comms, and no way out.
Now, they have to survive long enough for the team to find them. Which would be fine—except for the part where Keith is frustratingly competent, Lance is refusing to admit that maybe he needs help, and the jungle seems way too quiet for comfort.
They’re rivals. Not friends. Definitely not anything else.
So why does it feel like something’s changing?

Shiro’s back, they’re in space, and his biggest regularly occurring problem is the Galra empire and putting up with Lance’s “rivalry”. When Pidge discovers a potential high-value target in Sendak’s memories, called Kral-Ax, they decide to head down onto the surface of the moon it’s located on to investigate. The only problem is, Kral-Ax carries more than what they’re searching for.
