After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

“Oh please, you must have realised I’d not be faithful to you.” A nasty voice snarled, just loud enough for Harry to hear.
He froze, shocked by the fact that anyone would say that, to anyone.
“So, you have summoned me here – on Valentine’s Day – simply to dump me in public?” A deep, incredibly pleasant voice asked.
Harry blinked, surprised that this was a gay break-up.
Running a hand through his hair to try to get it to lay flat, he stepped around the separating wall and put on his happiest smile as he approached the two. He almost faltered – the other man was not what he expected. He’d expected someone similar to him in age – this man was older. He was also not very handsome at all, lank black hair, a big nose, and angry eyes – though the last was, at least, understandable. Harry would be screaming by now, not just glowering.

Harry Potter, the Master of Death, the Boy Who Lived, has been betrayed. Yes, he's been blinded by the 'Light' to see what was the truth. Dumbledore had wanted to kill Harry from the start and his 'friends' were being paid to be his 'friends'. He knew better now. After being shoved in Azkaban for 6 months, his trial was short and majority voted for his death. Dumbledore had managed to succeed in delaying a letter after his death with lies within.
Death has granted him a second chance. However, if Death grants this second chance, Harry's second half of his soul must be granted a second chance as well.
In other words, Harry time travels and Tom Riddle (Voldemort) regains his memories as well. How will this effect the new future?
