I’m discovering that I’m all kinds of pathetic for cute, clumsy boys with constellations of moles dotting their skin.
Or maybe I’m just becoming pathetic for Simon, I think, returning his smile as I step across the threshold.
Pain punches me in the gut.
I double over and pain spreads through my entire body. Sinking under my skin. Into my bones. It stings like the buzz of silver or crosses.
I am not wanted here.
The realisation is the only thing clear as the pain. I need to leave. But when I turn towards the door, I find that Simon’s already shut it behind him.
“You’re a vampire,” he says, voice hard and cold.

Baz and Simon meet in a coffee shop not knowing that one of them is a vampire and the other a vampire hunter. After a tense encounter, both of them are left with questions about who they are and their morality. And as if that’s not enough, neither of them can stop thinking about the other…

Summary
Simon Snow should have known better than to chase after the Hobgoblin Horde. Now he's trapped at the bottom of a well with no food or water, and a vampire who's only going to get thirstier as time passes.
Baz Pitch doesn't know why the Hobgoblins abducted him from the Wavering wood. He just knows that Snow was stupid enough to get caught too, and now they're trapped together, and Baz hasn't had blood in three days...

However, as I walk up to my room, which I have the unfortune of sharing it with the ultimate git himself, Baz, I feel and hear something shuffling at my feet. I look down and I find a piece of paper.
I bend down and pick it up. The first thing I noticed was how it looked like a page torn out of a notebook of sorts. Then the next thing I noticed was the illegible writing. At first, I thought that it was illegible because it was in cursive but then as I attempted to read on I realise that it’s not even in English.
It’s in Greek.
Or
Simon finds a letter in Greek that seems to mention his name a number of times. Baz offers to help for some reason.
