Summary
As he breathed into his hands to warm them, he saw two sets of skates hanging by the laces on a bench by the ice. A white pair and a black pair.
“Very well, old thing.” He humored himself and left the room, taking the not so subtle hint from the TARDIS. He took a few turns and arrived at his shared bunk room, easy to find, as it was the only door in the TARDIS sporting a picture collage of Harry, Sarah, and the Doctor. At least, Harry presumed so. “Sarah. You must see this.” A proud smile sat on his face as he cracked the door open. The snowflakes had already melted into his hair and blazer. Grabbing his duffle coat and scarf, he beckoned her to follow.

“Thank you.” Alistair opened the folder, reading the first page. Liz stayed silent, waiting for him to finish reading. The thought of this divorce taking place was hard to accept and she had so many feelings about it. Now she just waited anxiously for his reaction. He simply looked over at her.
“You know. When I sign this. I'm an available man. First time I've been single in... Oh two decades?” Liz broke out into a faint laugh, his comment completely took her by surprise but she wasn’t going to argue with him.
“So what you’re saying is that you’re single now?”

“I can't decide if you're an enigma or just simply confusing.” She tilts her head to one side, a soft and enchanting laugh escapes with the comment. He absolutely loved the way she laughed, he would make her laugh every moment he could if given the chance.
“Both?”
“I think that sums you up very neatly.” Liz's smile brightened.
“A confusing enigma or a confused enigma?” He leaned forward in his chair, suddenly intrigued with their current conversation. She simply looked at him with a humours expression.
“I would go with a confusing enigma. You do have some mysterious traits, but you are always a bit difficult to understand.”

Down From The Ledge is a Doctor Who Series 16 (and onward) prewrite, continuing the plot threads of the recent seasons: When and how is the Master going to get out of that tooth? Is Belinda just going to be stuck like that? What did Susan actually want?
