His observations passed over Enjin and Riyou frequently, but he scrutinized them far less than anyone else. Trust came naturally between the trio, and Zanka understood that Enjin had known Riyou for far longer than he had. It made sense if they seemed closer to each other than they were to him. Zanka was nothing but logical. He knew better than to be jealous of such foolish things.
And then he stumbled upon Enjin braiding Riyou’s hair.
Zanka, the new guy, didn't get special displays of affection yet. He understood that perfectly. And that was fine, obviously. He didn't need special displays of affections, like hair braiding and head pats and stupid, warm embraces.
