Summary
Eyes wide with panic, Jonathan focused back on the tree cavity. It was almost like some kind of tunnel. Or doorway. He hadn’t wanted to believe it, but that had to be where Nancy had gone. Adrenaline and fear pummelled him, but there was no way he was leaving without her. No way. He grabbed both of their bags, took a deep breath, and started to crawl through to the other side.
Season 1 AU - What if Nancy never makes it out of the portal in the woods, Jonathan follows after but they both end up stranded? An excuse for jancy and me speculating into the ecology of the upside down (now with bonus creature illustrations)
