You have a very, totally safe hobby. It's cave diving. And an even safer job. You're a research diver.
Okay, yeah, there are monsters in the ocean, who are not like the ones on the surface... not sharks, not nice goat people—but sirens. That sort of thing. But, so what? You're no coward. If you die, you die... alright, that sounds nihilistic.
It doesn't matter, because it turns out there's definitely something else in the water, and whatever it is definitely is not trying to kill you.
