Summary
After their parents perish in a terrible fire (which means were killed), the Quagmire triplets are sent to live with the deplorable Count Olaf, who will stop at nothing to make their lives a misery and steal their sapphire fortune. Meanwhile, Klaus Baudelaire struggles to accept the death of his parents and older sister, while also having to raise his infant sister Sunny and deal with living in a miserable school.
It will be the start of a very long, very depressing and very difficult journey for these young children, and I suggest you look away. I wish I could.

For enrichment of the author purposes, this doesn't directly follow either book or tv canon, but some Frankenstein of the two. A lot (not all) of the major plot points and characters will be from the tv show, but a lot of setting and timeline details will be from the books. Basically I just picked and chose my favourites from each. To my knowledge, though, everything makes sense. Feel free to ask if it doesn't, though !! -

Summary
15-year-old Vance Hopper is six months out of hell when he's shipped off to his father, who he's neither seen nor spoken to since he was nine. Now stuck in Denver with a dad who's found a new family and has no love for him, his calls to his mom always left unanswered, Vance isn't so sure his survival was worth it.
Even as he finds connection (through no effort of his own) in unlikely places, Vance keeps his walls up and his secrets to himself. No one here knows what was done to him, and he intends to keep it that way.
Unfortunately for him, there's no way to bury the truth. Not when the man who ruined him is still at large.
(Vance Hopper is the only boy taken - and the only one kept. Of course this comes with consequences.)

Summary
The grabber is smart, prepared, and koo-koo for coco puffs. Finney thought all the kids who got kidnapped had died, namely his best friend Robin. He gets napped up and finds he's not the only kid there. He's disoriented and a little hopeless, but cue the plot having to move forward and you'll see it's not all depressing.

Summary
Three years ago, Will Byers left Hawkins with a backpack and tears.
