The last word of a dying vampire prophesized the Blood Queen to Lena Luthor. Without the help of the DEO, it is up to her to put together a team to stop what her nightmares say is coming. Years spent battling aliens, high-tech terrorists, and metahumans means she needs people familiar with the post-Crisis world's paranormal threats.
Waverly Earp and Nicole Haught regularly faced such threats in Purgatory. They bring emergent powers and a reforged Peacemaker. Laura Hollis spent her college years in a supernatural hotspot and eventually married her college roommate, the vampire Carmilla Karnstein. Carmilla, freshly trained by the DEO's Canadian sister agency, now has more than just a certain set of skills at her disposal.
Finally, Kara Danvers faithfully offers unquestioning support. Because that what Kara Danvers does for her best friend. Lena will have to face something almost as monumental as armageddon. Her feelings for Kara.
These six will be the only thing that stands between the end of the world in blood and fire.

Summary
Supergirl solar flares to stop a powerful threat, leaving her powerless with some time to catch up on an ongoing cult investigation. She invites fellow CatCo journalist and former would-be cult victim, Laura Hollis, down to National City to compare notes and get to the bottom of this mystery once and for all.
Lena Luthor retreats to her engineering bay to complete work on a project meant to ensure Supergirl won't be facing such dire threats alone anymore, because what are besties for if not billion-dollar mobile power-armored weapons platforms?
With Lena's unwitting help, Kara and Laura find themselves in the cultist's den, with the leader revealed and her plans for destroying humanity already well underway. Powerless, Kara Danvers ends up as bait to draw in Supergirl for a confrontation. This is kinda awkward but Kara is too nice to point out the fundamental flaw in this plan.
With no time for a test run, Lena Luthor risks everything to suit up and save Kara Danvers. All while avoiding the voice in her head asking a very simple question.

Summary
On a chilly winter day, Sheriff Nicole Haught is dealing with a lot of visitors to Purgatory, not all of them welcome.
The first is a pair of vampires from the Canadian government's paranormal agency. They are visiting BBD for training and a visit to the BDD artifact vaults. They aren't the kind of vampire Nicole is used to. The second is Mercedes Gardner, a vampire of a more familiar sort who spun undeath into a lucrative burlesque tour. She is doing a one-night-only hometown show at the Glory Hole.
Finally, there are the aliens, who are also in town for Mercedes Gardner, but not to catch the show.
Nicole and Waverly have faced down most of the paranormal threats Purgatory has experienced. Now it is up to them to rescue Mercedes from an alien kidnap squad. Fortunately, they will have the assistance of a brunette in a leather jacket and pants who has poorly thought-out, last-minute plans.
Her name is Carmilla.

Some, like Carmilla Karnstein, were created by literal Gods.
Now, someone is trying to build a better vampire. They will combine the strengths and eliminate the weaknesses to create the ultimate predator. This new breed will prey not only on humans but the heroes that defend them, plunging the world into darkness.
A group of heroes will be drawn together to stop it. The smartest woman in the world. The strongest woman in the world. An angel. The angel’s shield. Carmilla, and her wife, a plucky reporter with all the powers of the 4th estate... and perhaps more later.
