Summary
Giyu gently shook Tanjiro’s shoulder as he tried to loosen the strings laced around his neck.
Tanjiro came too frantically, terrified by the movements near his throat. No! Are they back?! Who is it?!
Tanjiro could hardly breathe let alone smell past the blood clogging his nose, so there was no way for him to identify the enemy.
Giyu hadn’t expected this reaction. He promptly gave up on removing the burlap sack and tightened his grip on Tanjiro’s upper body, stilling him. “It’s okay. It’s me.”
Tanjiro heard the Water Hashira’s voice and ceased his struggling. Finally, there was someone here to help, to defend him. He needn’t worry about them or their barrage of fists anymore.
