    Voldemort succeeds in getting the Philosopher's stone from Harry at the end of his first year and disappears from Hogwarts, taking the eleven year old boy-saviour with him as his prize to enact his revenge on. The years of abuse Harry survived at the hands of the Dursleys were a walk in the park compared to the unimaginable horror of being held captive at the mercy of the newly resurrected Dark Lord and his sadistic followers. When Snape returns to continue his role as a spy he realises he has a dire decision to make - risk his life to try and save the son of his enemy or live with the guilt of watching Lily's son die at the hands of his former master. The consequences of his choice are far reaching and have the power to change the course of both of their lives from that moment forward, for better or for worse.
    Canon divergence (Second year rewrite), believable Severitus featuring (mostly) true to canon characters, this one will certainly be long and ansgty so buckle up my friends!
