Because, oh no... he's falling in love with Arthur.

This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.

Arthur never believed in the paranormal, but that changed after his car was run off a deserted highway by a hit-and-run driver. Pinned inside the twisted, burning wreckage, and with panic setting in, he believed his time was up until he heard a voice. The last thing he expected was a gangly boy named Merlin, with dark hair and blue eyes that turn gold. Pulling him out of the car, Merlin managed to get Arthur to safety only to vanish without a trace. Arthur was certain he had been real despite the police telling him there was no one else there, that he was probably hallucinating. Was Merlin a guardian angel, a ghost, or something else entirely? Arthur is determined to find answers and he finds them in the extended care wing of the hospital. Suddenly, everything Arthur believed about life and death is turned on its head and his heart is stolen by a beautiful boy in a coma.
