Witnessing such devotion and loyalty as your tiny human self stands up to the literal Devil from the Bible without an ounce of fear does something to the first man’s heart. And the best thing about this whole thing? Your ring finger looks awfully empty. Adam can fix that in exchange for the unconditional love you have for that unworthy sinner.

Being a newbie to Heaven, you had a lot to learn. So it had come as a shock to you when within your first week, you're assigned a job at the Great Seraphim Hall as a general assistant.
You'd be serving the angelic higher-ups that frequented the building, which you soon discover unfortunately includes a certain ancient being who enjoys the power he holds over you a little too much.

After 72 years, the Palazzo Theater has finally been sold and is being restored to its former glory. Due to various hijinks, you're (temporarily) in charge of cleaning up the abandoned building, largely alone. It's tedious, difficult work...at least until you find a certain film reel already loaded into one of the projectors.
The lil' animated fellow that emerges from it is funny, and dare you say even a bit charming...even if he's a bit enigmatic. But he seems harmless enough, and who could turn down the whimsy of befriending with a literal living cartoon character?

He was at least a head taller, twice as wide, his heavy-set bones covered by a black, fur-lined hoodie over a dark crimson tank-top. The dismal light showed the various scratches along his marrow. He smiled: one sharp canine was glittering gold, the same color as the thin chain that scraped against his exposed collar bones.
You didn’t back down. For a second, neither of you moved: your gun trained at where you guessed his soul would be, his eyelights assessing you.

It's really late when you get home from work, only to come face to face with your empty fridge. Barely anything is open at this hour, just a small shop that mostly sells booze, but you'll have to make due.
The cashier is a big, rude, skeleton. Which wouldn't have been a problem if you weren't so tired and hungry, but it really ticks you off. Leaving the store in a fit of rage, your stomach is still growling.
