Summary
Belakangan ini Taehyun sedang luar biasa disibukkan oleh pekerjaannya. Selain dilanda musim pancaroba, ia juga sudah dua hari berturut-turut lembur. Esok harinya, kesehatannya menurun. Kabar baiknya, ia tidak lembur. Kabar buruknya, Taehyun mendapat demam semalaman.
“Wangimu beda.” Beomgyu melepas selimut Taehyun begitu menyadari bahwa demamnya sudah turun. “Kamu mau rut.”
Ini bukan yang pertama kalinya. Memang begitulah jika Taehyun mendekati fase rut-nya. Namun, fase rut alfa terbilang jarang, sekitar satu sampai dua kali dalam setahun. Taehyun biasa mendapat rut dua kali dalam setahun. Akan tetapi, tahun ini Taehyun belum mendapatkan rut-nya; sepertinya karena terjadi perubahan pola kerja di kantornya, yang memengaruhi kondisi fisik dan mentalnya.
Setahun tanpa rut, tak heran Taehyun dan Beomgyu sempat kurang mengantisipasi kedatangan fase itu.

That should be enough, he thinks.
Taehyun waits for Beomgyu to say ‘cut!’ like he usually does when they do this. But silence falls over them instead. Not the kind that signals a missed line, but one that crackles.
Beomgyu’s gaze flicks down again, his breathing slightly shallow. Then—
“No, your voice has to be rougher. Again.”
Taehyun doesn’t say anything as he says the line again. Yet, it doesn’t seem to satisfy the omega as his face remains blank as he stares into Taehyun.
“Again, Taehyun.”
“What?”
“Say it like you’re fucking pissed at me.”

White suits, white petals, white ribbons fluttering in the wind. He wanted to wear a flower crown, something soft and delicate, while clinging to his soulmate’s arm. Someone who wanted him, chosen not by decision but by fate.
He clears his throat. “Now, your turn.”
“Because it benefits us. That’s it.”
