    3 years of no contact with sonic. 3 years with losing his last family member. 3 years feeling abandoned by his idol. 3 years with being taken care of by Shadow. Being with the dark hedgehog is still something he hasn't gotten accustomed to, but tails really does love his new big brother.

    Or; Sonic has abandoned tails, and shadow has taken care of tails for 3 years. They try their best to navigate a life trying to recover from wounded past and maintain their brotherhood.

    AU of Tails story in Sonic Adventure 2. With certain connections not being present and his motives different than before he can't really be classified as a hero nor is he a villain. Rather, he's somewhere in between.

    “Hey, isn’t that Tails?” the kit’s ears perked up at the mention of his name, his namesakes wagging the slightest. He was recognised. This rarely happened. And chaos was he excited as he watched the duo eyeing him with interest.

    It felt nice. Maybe they were admiring him? If so, Tails would have a hard time fighting off his blush if he wasn’t flushed already. Alright, all he had to do was be calm and smile. Answer a few questions and send them off with a cheeky response? Or maybe they would want a photo with him? While he wasn’t known for being photogenic he wouldn’t say no to-

    “Yeah! Quick, let’s catch up to him to ask about Sonic.”

    Tails paused in his tracks, suddenly the smile from before falling into a flat line. Oh.. So that’s what they wanted him for.

    For Sonic.

    Post-Frontiers:: Tails has set out on an adventure on his own and decides to settle down in Spagonia to help around Professor Pickles. While there however it is difficult to adjust when others think they know you already. Tails decides to change his identity so as to blend better in the new city, but what happens when the lie sticks longer? Is Sky here to stay?
