It seems like half the airport is now here at the Trondheim Clarion Hotel and Congress Center crowding the reception area, all grey suits and ditto hair. Amidst the sea of grey, Isak’s eyes catch on a guy. He looks to be around the same age, a flash of dirty-blonde hair and bright blue eyes, shooting Isak a quick smile as he passes him. He definitely does not look like he’s there for an international congress on biochem.

People living in the Belt are outcasts and outlaws, out of sight and out of mind. It's a hard life, but at least you're free to be who you are and love who you want. Even when they don't love you back.
Even has flown with Mikael for years, and whatever hope he used to have has dwindled to stolen glances of bare skin under raised shirts. He's lonely. A single speck of dust in the middle of the vastness of space.
Sometimes specks of dust happen to drift close enough to pull each other closer.
